Baja Racing

Ergonomics & Composites Subteam Lead

• Designed seat for off-road race car in SOLIDWORKS using discomfort surveys, co-creation events, informal interviews, anthropometric studies, and RAMSIS body positioning software.

• Led manufacturing for seat and body panels using foam plugs, fiberglass molds, and composite carbon fiber layups. Documented and iterated process to optimize end pieces.

• Ergonomics and Composites Subteam leader: Recruited and trained new members, delegated ergonomics projects, managed projects to schedule, prepared cost report, and coordinated with team leads and other subteams.

• Presented at virtual design competition (placed 1st worldwide in design), and produced on-the-spot body panel repairs at Louisville 2021 competition (placed 6th).

Research and Branding Lead

• Proposed layout for the redesign of a library cafe based on observed behavior in the existing space and surveys.

• The main tools used were Illustrator, Photoshop, Enscape and SketchUp.
